Preity Zinta keeps in touch with her fans through her posts. In the latest post shared on X, the actress talked about her relationship with Kangana Ranaut. Extending her heartfelt wishes to the actress, Preity called her fantastic and added that although she has not watched her working as a director, she is sure that Kangana is ‘good’ in the said domain as well. Answering a fan’s query, she also talked about entering politics during the informal interaction online.
During an interactive session, a fan asked Preity, “PZ chat during election campaign, Kangana said that she had a phone call with u even before the 1st film, ur words encouraged her a lot, one line for Kangana pls”. Replying, the actress said, “Kangana is a fantastic actress & a fashion icon. I haven’t seen her work as a director, but I believe she is a very good director. I wish her all the best in her new role as a politician, and I sincerely hope she does her best for the people of Himachal Pradesh.”

As the intriguing interaction continued, another fan shared his query about her joining politics. Responding, Preity set the record straight as she mentioned that she is not interested in pursuing a career in politics. The user questioned, “You are truly a “Soldier” Dear Preity !! Hats off to you !! just curious about any plan to join politics?”
Reacting, she mentioned, “No ! No politics for me. Over the years, various political parties have offered me tickets & Rajya Sabha seats but I have politely declined as it’s not what I want. Calling me a soldier is not completely wrong because I am a soldier’s daughter & a soldier’s sister. We fauji kids/ army brats are wired differently. We are not North Indian or South Indian or Himachalis or Bengalis etc.”
Meanwhile, Preity Zinta is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood. The actress will next be seen with Sunny Deol in Lahore 1947, produced by Aamir Khan Productions. Amid the already high buzz around the upcoming project, the makers added to the hype, announcing that AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar would also be joining as a part of the film. The director of the film is Rajkumar Santoshi.
