Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee made their relationship Instagram official two years ago on Valentine’s Day 2023. They are now married exactly two years later. The bride and the groom opted for ivory ensembles by designer Tarun Tahiliani for their big day. Their outfits reflected timeless elegance, blending intricate craftsmanship with contemporary charm, perfectly complementing the essence of their big day.
Speaking to Vogue India, Prateik Babbar talked about his idea of tying the knot at his late mother’s house. He said, “We desired a ‘ghar ki shaadi’, and getting married to the love of my life here- the first house that my mom bought and my home- was the best way to honour her in spirit.”
Prateik is the son of actor and politician Raj Babbar, and late actress Smita Patil. His half-brother Aarya Babbar has claimed that their father, veteran actor Raj Babbar, has not been invited to the celebrations. Aarya told ETimes, “I presume someone has overpowered his brain too much. He is not wanting to connect with anyone from this side of the family. He has decided not to call anyone.”
Meanwhile, this marks Prateik’s second marriage, as he was previously married to Sanya Sagar. The couple parted ways just one year after tying the knot and officially divorced in January 2023.
