Urvashi Rautela was brutally trolled earlier for showing off her diamond ring while talking about Saif Ali Khan’s knife attack.

Pragya Jaiswal has bashed Urvashi Rautela for her comments on Saif Ali Khan.

Recently, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a robber who broke into his Mumbai home. The Bollywood actor was stabbed six times and underwent multiple surgeries at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. He was later discharged and is currently resting at home. While expressing her concern for the actor, Urvashi Rautela, in an interview with ANI, drew criticism for flaunting her diamond ring during the conversation.

Now, in a new interview with Zoom TV, Urvashi’s Daaku Maharaaj co-star, Pragya Jaiswal, reacted to her comments. The actress said, “If you are associated with a film on that scale and you are working with legends, of course there should be a certain amount of grace and dignity with which you need to conduct yourself. There’s a certain amount of responsibility that one needs to take before speaking. It’s all our responsibility to conduct ourselves with grace and respect the other member of the cast. Don’t be insensitive. But she issued a public apology so it is all good now.”

When asked about the incident where Saif Ali Khan was stabbed, Urvashi had remarked, “It is very unfortunate. Now Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 105 crore at the box office, and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don’t feel confident wearing it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate.”

The video quickly went viral, drawing backlash from netizens for her tone-deaf comments.

In a later interview, Urvashi explained that she was caught off guard and was unaware of the full details of the attack on Saif Ali Khan. While speaking with Filmfare, Rautela said that the question about Saif Ali Khan caught her off guard because the attack happened at 4 am, and she had an interview the next morning while she was still processing the news. “I think I should have been way more careful with the way I answered. I have to admit that I should have answered it more carefully. Also, the incident happened at 4 am (Saif’s attack), and very next day my interviews happened at 8 am. So, I was completely kind of clueless. All I remember is that when I was waking up someone told me, he got hurt. I don’t know the intensity of how he got hurt. I wasn’t aware of the intensity of what all has happened with him,” she said.

Urvashi also admitted that the excitement about her parents’ gifts caused her to go off-topic, and that it was a moment of misplaced enthusiasm rather than an attempt to ‘show-off’. “I came back to my film Daaku Maharaaj because the interviews were to celebrate its success. Unlike what some people think, I was also not referring to that daaku (intruder) as a maharaaj. I love my parents; I feel they are my god. I got a bit too excited with the kind of gifts I got. Hum Hindi mai bolte hai na, josh mai hosh kho dena. Wahi hua mere saath. But show off toh nahi tha. Kyunki agar show off hota toh main chhoti si mini watch nahi dikhaati. (Like we say in Hindi, I lost it in the passion, that’s what happened. It was definitely not show off. Because if it was, I wouldn’t have shown a small mini watch),” said Urvashi.

Meanwhile, Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol, has been a box office success.
