Three months after Liam Payne’s tragic death, One Direction members are likely to reunite at the upcoming BRIT Awards. Reportedly, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan will be performing at the event to honour their late band member, Liam Payne.

“The tribute to Liam at this year’s awards show has caused a real buzz and speculation that the remaining One Direction bandmates could finally come back together again on stage,” a source cited by The Sun claimed and then added, “It would be an entirely fitting way to honor Liam and talks are already under way about how to make this segment of the Brits unforgettable.”

“Liam loved the Brit Awards and attended and performed many times over the years, both with 1D and as a solo artist, and will forever be part of the show’s history,” the source shared.

Liam Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Autopsy reports revealed that the singer had alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death. Police officials are still investigating drugs angle in Payne’s death.

Liam’s funeral was held outside London. Several photos from his last rites surfaced on social media, leaving fans emotional. Liam’s One Direction band members – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan also attended the funeral and paid their last tributes.

Members of One Direction also issued a statement and mentioned that they were “completely devastated” following Liam’s death. “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly,” a part of their statement read.

Payne soared to global fame as part of One Direction, the group that was created on the British talent show “The X Factor” in 2010. However, the singers of the band subsequently embarked on solo careers, after going on an “indefinite hiatus” in 2016.
