Nominated posts in Andhra Pradesh will be filled by June, says Chandrababu Naidu

Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that all the nominated posts in the State would be filled by June.

During a teleconference held with party MLAs, MPs, Ministers, and constituency in-charges, he emphasised the need for active participation in government programmes and party affairs.

The teleconference, held on Tuesday, focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure, delivering government schemes effectively, and preparing for the 2029 elections.

Mr. Naidu urged leaders to stay accessible to both party workers and the public, stating, “Every leader must honour the trust placed in us by the people and deliver on their expectations.” He directed leaders to counter misinformation from the Opposition YSRCP and ensure the public was informed about the government’s initiatives and progress.

Mr. Naidu said, “MLAs, Ministers, and MPs must regularly interact with party workers and the public. All election promises will be fulfilled while highlighting the significant progress made in the past seven months.”

Performance review

Leaders were instructed to prioritise appointments to nominated posts such as agricultural market committees and temple boards for those actively involved in party structures like clusters, units, booths, and sections. Appointees to nominated positions would face performance reviews after two years to ensure accountability, he maintained.

Mr. Naidu also emphasised promoting long-time party loyalists over recent entrants from other parties. He announced that appointments to all 214 market committees and 1,100 trust boards would be completed by June, reiterating that party loyalty and grassroots engagement were prerequisites for leadership roles.
