Noah Centineo has quickly become a household name thanks to his diverse roles on screen. From his iconic portrayal of the charming lover boy Peter Kavinsky in Netflix’s To All The Boys series to his more recent turn as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks in The Recruit, the American actor has proven his range. Before reprising his role as Owen in the second season of the spy thriller, Noah was also seen once again as Peter in XO, Kitty, the spin-off from To All The Boys.
In a recent interview with Deadline, the 28-year-old actor discussed how his shooting schedule for the upcoming season of The Recruit coincided with XO, Kitty’s, both of which took place in South Korea. During the conversation, Noah said, “(All The Boys producer and XO, Kitty exec producer) Matt Kaplan and one of my friends over at Netflix called me and said, Hey, you’re going to be shooting in South Korea the same time that we are. Would you be interested in coming back for XO, Kitty?”
His response to this question was positive. “And I said, yeah, anything for Anna.” He added, “I think Anna is just wonderful and hard working and super talented, just a professional, and she deserves the world.”
While he took no time to say yes to the opportunity, Noah was a bit sceptical about reprising his role as Peter Kavinsky. The actor mentioned, “It’s a daunting thing to go back to Peter to open that box; you don’t want to disappoint or let anyone down. The character is kind of what it is. But actually, it worked out. How could I say no?”
Previously, Anna Cathcart, who portrays the titular role in XO, Kitty, shared her experience of working with Noah Centineo. In an interview with Today, she said, “It was so exciting. I look up to him so much, and I’ve gotten to learn from him for so many years, so to be back on screen with him and reestablish our characters dynamic was so special, and Noah’s the sweetest.”
Speaking of XO, Kitty, the highly anticipated second season of the rom-com made a return on January 16 on Netflix. Starring Anna Cathcart, Choi Min Young, Gia Kim and Sang Heon Lee, the latest season revolved around Kitty, who was more focused on finding her family in South Korea.
