
The 16th edition of “PROGYAN 2025”, a national-level management meet with the theme ‘Legacy of Arthasasthra’, was organised by the School of Management, SASTRA deemed University, on February 14.
Students of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi, won the overall trophy.
According to an official release, R.K. Ramachandran, Associate Director and National Talent Lead, Deloitte India, inaugurated the event and spoke on the evolution of global capability centres (GCCs) and the shifting landscape of the IT industry. He highlighted how India became a major hub for GCCs, which transformed from basic IT support units in the 2000s into innovation-driven centres.
Pointing to the significant gap between academic learning and industry expectations, he urged students to bridge this gap through internships, industry projects, and continuous upskilling. S. Selvabaskar, Dean, School of Management, SASTRA Deemed University, presided over the function. Nearly 180 management students from 16 Institutions participated in six events namely Chanakya (Best Manager), Vipanikriya (Marketing), Dhanachakra (Finance), Bodhya (Business Analytics), Chaturanga (Bidding), and Anantya (HR).
V. Palanimuthu, Director, NIFTEM, Thanjavur, delivered the valedictory address and awarded certificates, trophies, and cash prizes amounting to ₹50,000 to the winners of various events. , the release added.
