Veteran actress Neena Gupta recently joined the growing list of celebrities visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, seeking blessings on the banks of the Ganga on Friday. Calling it a “unique experience,” the actress revealed that attending the sacred gathering had been on her wish list for years.

“I have been wanting to come here for years… It was a unique experience… Finally, I took a dip today,” Neena told ANI. She expressed amazement at the sheer scale of the event, describing the atmosphere as “crazy” and acknowledging that she had “never seen a bigger gathering” in her life. She also commended the government’s efforts in organizing such a massive religious congregation.

At 65, Neena shared that her visit wasn’t just for spiritual fulfillment but also to seek blessings for her upcoming film, Vadh 2, in which she stars alongside Sanjay Mishra. “We are halfway through the shoot and will soon wrap up the film to present it to the audience,” she revealed.

Encouraging others to experience Maha Kumbh, Neena expressed her awe at the devotion of the attendees. “I have never seen anything like this before,” she said, urging more people to witness the event firsthand.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the largest religious gatherings in India, drawing millions of devotees who take a holy dip in the Ganga, believing it to cleanse them of their sins. The event, which began on January 13, will continue till February 26. A host of celebrities have already made their presence felt at the sacred gathering, including Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Milind Soman, Esha Gupta, Mamta Kulkarni, Remo D’Souza, Poonam Pandey, Guru Randhawa, and Sourabh Raaj Jain.
