Naga Chaitanya is currently basking in the success of his latest film, Thandel, where he shares the screen with Sai Pallavi. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, has been praised for its compelling love story and the chemistry between the lead actors.

At the recent success meet of Thandel, Naga Chaitanya made a striking appearance alongside his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala. Sobhita radiated a newlywed glow in a red silk sari paired with a golden blouse, while Naga Chaitanya looked dapper in a brown shirt. During the event, as they sat together in the front row, Naga Chaitanya was requested to mouth his viral Thandel dialogue, “Bujj thalli,” for Sobhita. He gave it a playful spin, which made Sobhita blush and smile.

Meanwhile, last week, Sobhita Dhulipala penned down a heartwarming note to cheer for her actor husband. She took to her Instagram stories to share a poster of Thandel and called the film an “extraordinary” love story. She praised Chay for working hard on this movie and expressed excitement about watching the Chandoo Mondeti directorial.

“I have seen you be so focused and positive through the making of this film, can’t want for everyone (and myself) experience this extraordinary love story in the theatres from tomorrow,” she wrote, adding in Telugu, “Finally gaddam shave chesthavu.. modati sari ni mukham darshanam avuthundi saami @chayakkineni (Finally you will shave your beard and I will see your face).”

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot on December 4, 2024, at the Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad.

Thandel is based on a real-life incident from 2018, where a group of fishermen from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, inadvertently crossed into Pakistan waters and were detained. He mentioned that the film’s plot revolves around these fishermen’s struggles, their time spent in jail, and the emotional and inspirational journey they embarked upon. The film also features a love story inspired by the real-life couple involved in the incident.
