The highly anticipated trailer of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan was released by the makers today. The film boasts an impressive supporting cast including Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. Much to fans’ surprise, they also noticed a familiar face in the recently-released trailer of Nadaaniyan- YouTuber Apoorva Makhija, widely known as ‘The Rebel Kid’. Looks like she is also making her acting debut with Nadaaniyan, and her appearance has garnered a lot of attention.
The trailer of Nadaaniyan includes a college scene where an angry Ibrahim Ali Khan confronts Khushi Kapoor’s character Pia. A crowd of students was gathered around them as the scene unfolded. In that particular scene, Apoorva Makhija aka The Rebel Kid is seen in the frame, standing beside Khushi Kapoor. While Khushi is seen crying, Makhija stands beside her with a sad expression on her face. Apoorva is only briefly visible for a few seconds, and has no dialogues in the trailer. So far, her role in the film isn’t known.
Meanwhile, Apoorva Makhija has been embroiled in a controversy after appearing on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. She faced heavy criticism for her remarks on the show. Widely recognised as Rebel Kid or Kaleshi Aurat, she is famous for her Instagram skits and reels in which she is seen sharing candid commentary on everyday life using strong language.
