Former Minister C. Vijayabaskar on Thursday criticised the DMK government over the launch of Mudhalvar Marundhagams, stating that they were only a replica of Amma Marundhagams launched by the erstwhile AIADMK government. He urged the DMK government to list its achievements, and accused it of shutting down the ‘Amma Mini Clinics’ as well.
He also accused the DMK government of having terminated the services of 1,850 doctors [who were then attached to the Amma Mini Clinics] and 500 other doctors. Mr. Vijayabaskar further criticised the DMK government for “diverting” attention from the hardships faced by people owing to its “inefficient administration”.
