Mohanlal’s upcoming film, L2: Empuraan, has left fans excited. The slightest of buzz around the film becomes a top trend, ushering a hint on how eagerly fans are waiting for its release. On Tuesday, February 25, Mohanlal dropped the third character from the film, introducing actor Abhimanyu Singh as Balraj.
In the riveting poster, Singh sat like a king with a rifle on one of his hands. He gazed intently into the camera as fire ate away the place in the backdrop. Take a look:
Talking about his character, Abhimanyu Singh told IANS, “I play Balraj in Empuraan: Lucifer 2. Balraj is a really complex character. He is not just one thing. There are many layers to him. And that made playing him so interesting. As the story goes on, his character goes through a huge transformation. That shift in his character was something I really enjoyed working on.”
L2: Empuraan also boasts of an ensemble cast. Mohanlal reunites with actor Prithviraj Sukumaran for the film, with the latter directing and starring in the project. The team has also roped in Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn for the film, taking it on a global scale.
Recently, Mohanlal spoke about Empuraan and his reunion with Sukumaran. He told PTI, “He is very good. This is my third film with him. Bro Daddy was a different film from Lucifer. He knows what he is doing, he is very keen on scripting. He is a sensitive director. He will give more importance to acting and is totally into the film.”
“This film demands action. I’ve done so many action movies, there is a different kind of action in it. It’s a trilogy and we’ve one more chapter to come. We haven’t shot for it. It will take some time,” he further added.
For the unversed, L2: Empuraan is a sequel to Mohanlal’s 2019 superhit film, Lucifer. It also stars Tovino Thomas and Majnu Warrier in key roles. The film is slated for release on March 27 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
