Meryl Streep’s evacuation from the deadly Los Angeles wildfires was shockingly extreme.

Meryl Streep had a brave escape at the LA wildfires.

Hollywood’s glitz and glam met a fiery showdown as wildfires blazed through upscale neighbourhoods in Los Angeles like Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Santa Monica. Celebrities scrambled for safety, and Meryl Streep’s escape story was nothing short of cinematic. In a jaw-dropping revelation to New York Magazine Intelligencer, her nephew, Abe Streep, shared how the iconic actress went to extraordinary lengths to dodge the inferno.

In the interview, Abe talked about Meryl Streep’s dramatic escape from the wildfires — she had to pull off an unexpected bit of DIY survival. When a massive tree crashed down, sealing off her driveway, Streep found herself trapped with flames inching closer. With no time to waste, she grabbed tools and carved out a ‘car-sized hole’ through her fence — and even her neighbour’s — to make a daring getaway.

Abe added, “Determined to make it out, she borrowed wire cutters from a neighbour, cut a car-size hole in the fence she shared with the neighbours on the other side, and drove through their yard to escape.”

While Abe stayed tight-lipped about the fate of Meryl Streep’s home, countless other celebrities weren’t as fortunate. The wildfires left a path of devastation, reducing luxury estates to ash and rubble. The blaze spared no one!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the wildfire spared no corner of Tinseltown, leaving devastation in its wake. Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, and music legend Diane Warren were among the many celebrities who tragically lost their homes. Influential figures like Bozoma Saint John, Jhené Aiko, and record producer Lou Adler were also impacted, alongside Hollywood couples Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, as well as Cary Elwes, Cameron Mathison, and Ricki Lake. The fire left behind shattered dreams and smoky ruins where glamorous estates once stood.
