The Muvattupuzha police have arrested a man accused of serial thefts. The accused, Shajahan, 49, of Nellikuzhy in Kothamangalam, was taken into custody after being found in suspicious circumstances.
According to the police, the accused allegedly confessed to thefts across the State. He was found to be involved in cases registered by the police in Malappuram, Palakkad and Ernakulam Rural.
The accused had been declared fugitive in cases registered by the Kongad and Manchery police.
