While everyone was gearing up for some high-octane cinema featuring the megastar, the makers have decided to shift gears and push the release to a later date. The film was initially slated for a February 14 release, but rumours of a delay had been swirling for some time. Putting speculation to rest, the makers have now officially announced a fresh release date, much to the relief of eager fans.
So, what’s the new D-Day? Mark your calendars for April 10, 2025, for Bazooka because that’s when Mammootty will be back on the big screen, doing what he does best.

The first buzz about Bazooka getting postponed emerged on February 6, when industry insider Sreedhar Pillai spilled the tea on his X account. He hinted at a possible release window around April-May 2025. However, back then, the makers remained tight-lipped, keeping fans guessing without an official confirmation.

Bazooka is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller marking the directorial debut of Deeno Dennis. Produced by Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams, the film features the legendary Mammootty alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon in lead roles. Fans can expect a gripping storyline packed with intense action sequences. The movie also features Babu Antony, Neeta Pillai, Gayathri Iyer, Shine Tom Chacko, Mime Gopi and others.
The official title of Bazooka was unveiled in April 2023, with principal photography kicking off in Kochi the following month. The team wrapped up filming by October 2024, marking the completion of this highly anticipated project.
