Maharashtra pattern responsible for the defeat in Delhi Polls, says Sanjay Raut

While Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday, claimed the Delhi polls defeat of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was due to the “Maharashtra pattern”, the ruling alliance state Delhi people wanted change and supported development.

“This is the Maharashtra pattern of voter list fraud, the same has been applied in the Delhi Assembly elections. In the first five years, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government was not allowed to work, the governor had all the power, and all the prominent leaders were charged and put in jail,” said Mr. Raut, adding BJP is finishing the leadership of regional parties, who are standing them against.

Mr. Raut also criticised the Election Commission of India (ECI) for neglecting the doubts. “ECI is sitting with eyes closed; 39 lakh votes increased in Maharashtra in five months will shift to Bihar and Delhi.”

“In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not win in Delhi, it would be his last wish to win Delhi and for that, they are trying to go to any lengths, said Mr.Raut.

He also highlighted that only if Congress and the AAP had fought the election as allies would the outcomes have been different, and within the first hour of the results, it would have been a clear win.

NCP-SP leader Rohit Pawar called Delhi assembly election results “shocking.” “Even if AAP, especially Manish Sisodia has to face defeat, who did extensive work in education and health, which no one could do in the country, then development will take a backseat in the politics of elections. Politicians will stop development work and do politics of hatred. Given the results, whether to do development work or not is the question,” he posted on the X.

Further, Mr. Pawar mentioned that he hopes now CM and governor can work hand in hand instead of creating hurdles for the CM.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reiterated that BJP’s victory in Delhi reflects people are not interested in narratives and want development and said, “AAP lost the trust of people, Arvind Kejriwal forgot social activist Anna Hazare’s hard work, who backed him up to become CM. The newly announced budget has also influenced the Delhi people’s voting decision.”

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated BJP Delhi workers for this historic victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections. “Under the leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi ji BJP India is achieving new heights. This mandate by the people of Delhi is against rampant corruption, bad governance & loot by AAP & its leaders,” he posted on X, adding hard efforts by our karyakarta for the welfare of people of Delhi are behind this huge success.
