Minister for Excise M.B. Rajesh has made a scathing remark about the Opposition saying that it withdrew from its corruption allegation against the government in connection with the sanctioning of a brewery in Elappully panchayat as it lacked courage.
“The Opposition’s allegations of water exploitation too will fizzle out soon,” the Minister said, throwing down the gauntlet and inviting the Opposition to bring forth more corruption allegations. “We are ready to address and clarify each of them,” he said.
He also lashed out at the Opposition for its ‘cowardice’ in failing to present an emergency motion in the Assembly in spite of its vocal accusations.
The Minister called out the media for perpetuating misleading headlines based on the Opposition allegations. He also questioned the media’s motives for deceiving the public.
“All claims propagated by the Opposition will soon be proven false. I asked the media to encourage Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala and V.D. Satheesan because of my strong conviction,” he said. Mr. Rajesh had displayed cynicism when he told the media to encourage the Opposition leaders the other day.
