Guwahati: A study has documented, for the first time, avifaunal diversity at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati, underscoring the ecological significance of institutional green spaces. Conducted between April and July 2024, the research recorded 75 bird species across 16 orders and 42 families, emphasizing the crucial role of wetlands and green landscapes in supporting biodiversity.
