Kylie Jenner is struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of her longtime friend and hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero. In an emotional post on her Instagram Stories, Jenner shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with her and Guerrero’s mutual friend, makeup artist Ariel Tejada. The call lasted over seven hours.
“Sleeping has been the hardest. I love you Ariel,” she captioned the post. Tejada reshared the post, adding, “I love you so much.”
Jenner also posted a throwback video of herself and Guerrero where both can be seen laughing together in the backseat of a car.
Guerrero’s family announced his passing on February 23, calling it “sudden and unexpected.” He had built an impressive career as he styled some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Jenner and Jennifer Lopez.
Jenner had shared a heartfelt tribute to Guerrero where she expressed just how much he meant to her. She described him as “more than my friend – he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support.”
“I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter,” she wrote.
“Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and I don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will,” she added.
Guerrero’s sister, Gris, shared an update on the family’s GoFundMe page where she shared that Jenner had stepped in to cover the cost of his funeral.
“When this go fund me was set up we created it thinking we would have to take care of all the expenses ourselves. We didn’t want to burden any clients with this. Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for later offering to cover funeral expenses and offering up all her help and support,” read the update.
Guerrero had been by Jenner’s side for years and recently, he styled her hair for Paris Couture Fashion Week and the 2025 Golden Globes. Their last collaboration was only weeks before his passing with Jenner posting a photo of them together on February 12.
