Kunal Kemmu opened up about Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident, recalling the moment he broke the news to Soha Ali Khan.

Kunal Kemmu reveals how he broke the news of Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing to Soha Ali Khan.

Actor Kunal Kemmu recently addressed the shocking stabbing incident involving his brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan, during an interview with ANI. On January 16, Saif was stabbed six times by an intruder who broke into his residence, leaving the family shaken.

Recalling his initial reaction, Kunal said, “The first thought was, is he okay? None of the chatter made sense. I woke up to a call at 6 AM, and it’s strange how fear takes over.” He further revealed that he had to break the news to his wife, Soha Ali Khan, while they were preparing their daughter for school. “I was wondering whether to send her to school or not. All those thoughts were racing through my mind,” he shared.

Addressing concerns about safety in Mumbai, Kunal remarked, “It’s not that the city is unsafe. These are rare incidents, but we must remain cautious. You can’t assume safety to the extent of lying on the street with jewellery and expecting nothing to happen. We need to protect ourselves and our families as best as we can.”

Interestingly, Kunal also recounted a similar incident from 2011 when there was a break-in at Soha Ali Khan’s house while they were dating. “I was there when it happened. We heard unusual noises in the middle of the night, and I saw a robber trying to escape. He lost his balance, fell, and I managed to tackle him and hand him over to the police,” he revealed.

Reflecting further on Saif’s attack, Kunal suggested that the intruder might not have known whose house he was entering. “From what we understand, the guy had walked the floors, found an open window, and sneaked in. It seems like a burglary gone wrong, but what led him to attack so brutally remains unclear,” he added.

Saif Ali Khan suffered multiple injuries to his neck, back, and arm after being stabbed six times. Thankfully, he is now recovering, and the incident has served as a stark reminder of the importance of home security.

On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan is set to star in Jewel Thief, where he plays a conman. The film is slated for release later this year on Netflix.
