While fans eagerly await Hrithik Roshan’s return as the iconic superhero, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has just dropped a major hint about the film’s casting—legendary actress Rekha might be joining the project.
On February 16, 2025, the Roshan family celebrated the success of their Netflix documentary, The Roshans. The event was star-studded, with Rakesh Roshan and Rekha posing together for the paparazzi. Amid the celebratory mood, a curious photographer seized the opportunity and asked Rakesh about Rekha’s involvement in Krrish 4. His playful response, “Hai hai, sab hai” (Yes, yes, everyone’s there), set social media ablaze with speculation.
Videos from the bash quickly went viral, but one clip particularly caught fans’ attention. In the footage, Hrithik Roshan was seen holding Rekha’s hand as she showered admiration on him, fueling excitement about their potential on-screen reunion.
Rekha played the pivotal role of Dr. Sonia Mehra, Rohit’s mother, in Koi… Mil Gaya (2003). Her character was absent from Krrish 3, but if she returns for Krrish 4, it could hint at a major twist or nostalgic throwback in the storyline.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan has been vocal about the film’s development. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he confirmed that an official announcement regarding Krrish 4 will be made soon. Though he has stepped away from direction, he continues to oversee the film’s creative process.

He stressed that while Bollywood cannot compete with Hollywood’s superhero budgets, strong storytelling and fresh concepts are key to success. Confident about the film’s potential, he assured fans that the script will captivate audiences from the very first frame.
Apart from Krrish 4, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his next big release—War 2, the sixth installment in YRF’s spy universe. Actor Ashutosh Rana recently confirmed that he will reprise his role as Colonel Sunil Luthra in the action-packed sequel. Additionally, he will also be seen in Alpha, alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
