Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman presented the Education Minister’s banner for the best National Cadet Corps (NCC) group in the State to the NCC Kozhikode Group. M.R. Subodh, Commander, NCC Group, Kozhikode, received the trophy from the Minister.
The award was presented at a reception accorded to the Kerala NCC Republic Day contingent in Thiruvananthapuram recently. Ramesh Subramanian, Additional Director General of NCC, Kerala and Lakshadweep Directorate, was also present.
It was the second consecutive time that the Kozhikode group had won the honour. The Kozhikode group was adjudged the best in administration along with the best NCC unit of Kerala and Lakshadweep (9 K Naval Battalion) and second best in Junior Division Category (St. Joseph’s Anglo Indian School).
