The PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Ordnance Estate in Tiruchi launched a prelude to the diamond jubilee jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) on Friday.
Titled “KVS Pre-Jamboree 2025 for Scouts and Guides”, the programme was inaugurated by D. Manivannan, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Chennai Region and divisional commissioner, KVS, BSG – Chennai division in the presence of M. Vellaichamy, assistant commissioner, KVS Chennai Region and Deputy Divisional Commissioner KVS, BSG Chennai-division and senior officials.
BSG officials deputed by KVS State, 256 Scouts, 208 Guides and their escorts representing 23 different regions were present at the pre-jamboree launch.
The Scouts and Guides will be participating in activities such as camp craft, global development village and State exhibition tomorrow, in preparation for the diamond jubilee BSG jamboree to be held from January 28 to February 3 at SIPCOT Industrial Estate Complex at Manapparai, according to a release from the school.
