The Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT),Ernakulam Bench, on Thursday stayed the implementation of the transfer order transferring three district medical officers including Dr. Asha Devi, from Ernakulam to Kozhikode and four additional directors.
The refusal by Kozhikode DMO Dr. N Rajendran to hand over charge to Dr. Asha Devi on her transfer from Ernakulam to Kozhikode, had triggered a controversy and created a drama of sorts at the Kozhikode DMO office recently.
The KAT passed the order on a petition filed by Dr. Peeyush M. who has been transferred from Kannur to Kollam as DMO. The court ordered that “there will be an interim stay against implementation” of the order for a month.
