Kanye West sparks outrage on social media.

Kanye West is once again at the centre of a massive controversy after making a string of antisemitic and inflammatory remarks on social media. Over the weekend, the rapper went on a shocking tirade, expressing his love for Adolf Hitler and even accusing billionaire Elon Musk of stealing his so-called “Nazi swag.”

West’s outburst began with a disturbing post on X (formerly Twitter), where he declared: “IM A NAZI.” He followed it up with an even more shocking statement: “I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT B***.”** Another alarming remark in his series of posts read: “Hitler was sooooo fresh.”

The backlash was swift, with public figures, celebrities and fans condemning his statements. Many were stunned that West, who had previously apologised for his past antisemitic remarks, was once again engaging in hate speech.

Not long ago, in December 2023, he had attempted to mend his reputation, saying, “I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”

Aside from his antisemitic remarks, West also took aim at Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, oddly claiming that Musk used Nazi imagery at former U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration rally.

“Elon stole my Nazi swag at the inauguration yoooo my guy get your own third rale,” he claimed in a now-deleted post.

The intent behind this statement is unclear, but it has certainly sparked online buzz. Elon Musk, who has had a tumultuous relationship with Kanye West, has yet to respond to the claim. However, his platform, X, previously suspended West for similar antisemitic posts, only to restore his account months later.

West hasn’t taken back or apologised for his statements. The backlash is strong, and many are urging platforms to act.
