Kamal Haasan Drops Thug Life Release Date After Returning From US After AI Studies

Legendary actor Kamal Haasan has returned to India after completing an AI course in the United States. After spending five months in the US, the star has returned to Chennai and briefly interacted with the media at the airport. As per a report by Times Now, the actor spilt the beans about his upcoming projects. At the airport, he announced the release date of Thug Life. During the interaction, the star also revealed that he has finished writing the script for his upcoming project with action director duo Anbarivu.

While remaining tight-lipped about the specifics of his new venture, Haasan confirmed that his highly anticipated film Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, is set to release on June 5. This action-packed gangster drama boasts a stellar cast including Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, and Ali Fazal, and more.

In an early interview with the Deccan Chronicle in Abu Dhabi, it was reported that Kamal Haasan went to the US in September to study the uses of AI. The actor’s recent trip to the US shows his dedication to staying at the forefront of innovation in the entertainment industry and adapting his findings in upcoming projects.

Kamal Haasan said, “I have a deep interest in new technology, and you can often see my films experimenting with the latest technological developments. Cinema is my life. All my earnings have gone back into my films by various means. I’m not merely an actor, but a producer too, and I reinvest everything I earn from movies into the industry.”

Coming to Kamal Haasan’s professional front, the actor was most recently seen in the political thriller, Indian 2. The Shankar-directorial was a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian, featuring an ensemble cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu, and many more. The movie showed the aged martial artist and veteran freedom fighter Senapathy returning to India to continue his fight against corruption.

With a slate of exciting projects in the pipeline, Kamal Haasan is all set to captivate audiences and redefine the boundaries of Indian cinema. Other than the project with Anbarivu, he is joining hands with director Mani Ratnam for the gangster action venture, Thug Life. The movie, co-written by Haasan, is set to hit theatres in June. He also has Indian 3 and Kalki 2 in his kitty. Indian 2, ending on a cliffhanger, will see its sequel released in 2025.
