Kadapa SP stresses hands-on weapons training for police personnel

Superintendent of Police E.G. Ashok Kumar on Wednesday (January 29) highlighted the need for regular weapons training for police personnel.

He was visiting the police firing range on the outskirts of Kadapa, where he used various types of guns, including AK-47 assault rifle and Masada and Glock pistols. He also got on to the VAJRA vehicle and fired a number of gas shells.

Inviting the police personnel undergoing training on the premises to regularly try firing guns used on duty, Mr. Ashok Kumar called for readiness among the personnel. He called arms training a vital component in addressing emergency situations and in protecting the lives and property of the citizens.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Armed Reserve) B. Ramanaiah and Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivasa Rao were present.
