Jyotika is on a promotional spree for her upcoming Netflix web series Dabba Cartel. As the film inches closer to its release, the actors are pulling out all the stops to keep the excitement soaring. From promoting the movie across cities to dropping updates about the film on social media, the promotions are going on in full swing. In a recent post she dropped on Instagram, fans trolled the actress, saying Pradeep Ranganathan or Vijay is better than her husband, Suriya.
Instagram users flocked to the comments section of Jyotika’s post and left comments like, “Pradeep Ranganathan is better than your husband Suriya.” “Truth is Vijay is better than your husband and husband’s brother way ahead. 1st tell them to beat the dragon and love today’s collection,” and “Vijay is better than your husband.”
Responding to one of the comments that echoed the same, the actress simply dropped a laughing emoji. Well now, a Reddit user shared the screenshot of Jyotika’s reply to the troll, which has left many talking. Posting the screenshot, the user wrote, “Jyothika responds to a VJ Kanni.”
The now-deleted reaction grabbed several eyeballs, prompting a flurry of reactions. “LOL. I would say a fitting reply. Kudos. A single emoji should be enough,” read a comment. Another said, “Audacity to tell a woman that another person is better than her husband.” A user joked, “We got Jyotika involved in fan wars before GTA VI.” “Good that she responded. People can only take so much abuse. We all would do the same if our partner got trolled,” another stated.
A Reddit user commented, “I am sorry but I have to respect her as a wife. Women are not submissive. They will shake the heavens for the men they love.” “Jyotika is honestly sassy. It seems she cannot control her emotions. She did the same during the Kanguva release,” posted another.
Speaking about Jyotika’s cinematic front, the actress returned to the Hindi film industry after a 26-year hiatus with Srikanth and Shaitaan in 2024. She is now gearing up for her upcoming project, Dabba Cartel. Co-starring Shabana Azmi, Sai Tamhankar, Shalini Pandey, Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Anand, the series chronicles the story of five ordinary women who accidentally become involved in a high-stakes drug cartel. It is scheduled to release on February 28 on Netflix. Apart from this, Jyotika also stars in the Hind-Tamil film Lion.
