Justin Baldoni’s mother Sharon Baldoni has come out in his support amid the sexual harassment allegations by his It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively. Recently, Sharon took to her Instagram handle and penned down a note for her “beautiful boy” on the occasion of his birthday.
“Remembering a wonderful moment after the final ending of Jane The Virgin–a moment where joy and love permeated the set, where friendships and family were born, and kindness and integrity permeated the hearts of all the actors and crew,” she wrote.
“Sadness only entered because it was the final scene of a wonderful journey~ and the beginning of the rest of our lives. A happy, loving, and generous memory with hearts exploding with possibilities,” Justin’s mother continued.
“Life has its moments and also its surprises– as you keep your integrity through it all, Justice and truth will shine today and into eternity. I love you more than you will ever know! Happy Birthday my beautiful boy! May God continue to bless you in truth,” she concluded.
On December 21, 2024, Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and co-star of It Ends With Us, accusing him of sexual harassment. She also claimed Baldoni tried to orchestrate a smear campaign against her, causing significant emotional distress to her family.
Lively’s complaint detailed instances of Baldoni allegedly creating a hostile work environment, including inappropriate discussions about his pornography addiction, sharing explicit material, and making comments about her weight. The situation reportedly escalated to the point of an all-hands-on-deck meeting, where Lively requested that Baldoni cease such behaviour.
Later, Justin Baldoni’s publicist, Jennifer Abel, has dismissed Blake Lively’s allegations. In a post shared on a private PR & Marketing Facebook group, Abel addressed a series of leaked text messages that reportedly involve herself, Baldoni, and PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan. Lively claimed these exchanges were part of a calculated effort to tarnish her reputation. Abel, however, dismissed these allegations, stating that no coordinated campaign was ever executed.
“What the cherry-picked messages don’t include, although not shockingly, as it doesn’t fit the narrative, is that it was no ‘smear’ implied, no negative press was ever facilitated, no social combat plan, although we were prepared for it, as it’s our job to be ready for any scenario, but we didn’t have to implement anything, because the internet was doing the work for us,” Abel wrote.
