The show’s creator mentioned that Meghan Markle or any other former cast member will be welcomed with open arms if they decide to come back.

The iconic American legal drama Suits is returning to the screen, this time as a spinoff series titled Suits LA. It marks actor Gabriel Macht’s return as the mighty Harvey Spector. Fans are excited to watch the actor back in action in the beloved series. At the same time, many are left wondering if Meghan Markle, who played the ambitious paralegal Rachel Zane, would reprise her role or not. It seems like the show’s creator, Aaron Kosh, has an answer.
While attending the premiere of Suits LA in California on Thursday, February 20, the Suits creator opened up about the possibility of a cameo from the Duchess of Sussex, who exited the show in 2018. When asked about the same, Aaron told People that the door is always open for Meghan or any other actor in the show to step back into it.
“So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor. My brain blows up at the thought of that. So I think it blows up the world too much,” the 58-year-old producer said.
Aaron also made it clear that if Meghan wanted to return to the series in any capacity, she would be welcomed with open arms. “Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back,” he said. When asked if she had an open invitation to rejoin the cast of the NBCUniversal series, he confirmed, “Of course. Of course. Always.” But he admitted that “realistically, it would be too much of an explosion of the fourth wall to do that.”
Meghan Markle’s character, Rachel Zane, was introduced in Suits season 1. She quickly rose to popularity and became a fan favourite. After working in seven seasons, the 43-year-old Royal excited the show in 2018, where her character was shown moving to Seattle after marrying on-screen boyfriend Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams. Her departure from the show also coincided with her real-life wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.
The upcoming spin-off show, Suits LA will premiere on February 23. The new series will introduce a fresh cast while the backdrop of the show will remain the same as the original one.
