Looks like Atlee is set to break the bank! If reports are to be believed, the director is charging a jaw-dropping Rs 100 crore for his upcoming commercial entertainer with Allu Arjun. Following the massive success of his Bollywood debut, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, it is now being reported that the filmmaker is gearing up for a project with Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun.
According to a report by 123Telugu, Atlee’s planned film with Salman Khan was shelved due to budget constraints. Now, he has shifted his attention to a project with Allu Arjun. However, this film is also running into financial hurdles, as Atlee has reportedly asked for a hefty Rs 100 crore paycheck.
While there’s no official confirmation yet, if true, this would make Atlee one of the highest-paid filmmakers in Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, producers are in a dilemma because such a massive paycheck is usually reserved for top stars like Thalapathy Vijay, Allu Arjun, and a few others. Atlee’s demand has raised eyes in the industry.
It is also being said that Janhvi Kapoor might be teaming up with Allu Arjun for Atlee’s upcoming film. While reports suggest she’s being considered for the project, there’s no official confirmation yet.
Janhvi made her Telugu debut with Devara alongside Jr NTR, and the film was a hit, earning her praise for her performance. She’s also currently working on RC16 with Ram Charan, a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, which has already gone on floors.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun is also keeping busy! Along with his project with Atlee, he’s also teaming up with Trivikram Srinivas for another exciting film. Reports suggest that this could be a mythological drama based on Lord Karthikeya, though there’s no official confirmation yet. If it happens, this would mark the fourth collaboration between the actor-director duo.
