Ahead of Junaid Khan’s film Loveyapa release, his sister Ira Khan shared an adorable post for him, celebrating his big milestone.
Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Loveyapa, in which he stars alongside Khushi Kapoor. The makers recently held a screening in Mumbai, attended by close family and friends. Junaid’s sister, Ira Khan, was also present and shared her thoughts on her brother’s appearance in the film. She praised his look, calling it a perfect fit for the GenZ vibe. Ira also posted a throwback picture from their childhood, fondly remembering how Junaid used to think she was cute and feeling touched by his admiration. She amusingly added how people would often ask who was the older sibling, and with a smile, clarified that Junaid is actually five years older.
Taking to Instagram, Ira wrote, “When he still thought I was cute. And look how excited I am to receive his attention and affection. I think we’re both cute. Someone asked me who’s older. Junaid, 5 whole years. How is that even a question? Can’t tell who’s being complimented and who’s being insulted. Though he does look very GenZ in Loveyapa.”
This isn’t the first time Ira Khan has talked about her bond with her brother, Junaid Khan. In a recent interview with People of India, she opened up about their relationship while growing up and shared what brought them closer. She said, “I don’t know whether this happens with all siblings but either I wanted to be exactly like him in some aspects and in some aspects I had to be exactly the opposite of him. We fought every single day, till he finished school and then when he went to college, he got a life. So he stopped troubling me and then we actually became really close. So it was a very big shift but it was a fun shift.”
Shedding light on her relationship with her father, Aamir Khan, Ira recalled that her schoolmates knew who her father was and while they didn’t judge her, some were eager to be her friends because of his fame. However, she didn’t feel anyone treated her badly. She explained that, like most children, she saw her dad as just her parent, not as a famous person. While he was often out for shoots, he always made sure to check on her and ensured no one at school was bothering her.
Meanwhile, Ira Khan married her long-time boyfriend and fitness trainer, Nupur Shikhare in January 2024.
