Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na actor Imran Khan opened up about how he met his ladylove Lekha Washington. He shared that they were in the same group of friends.

Imran Khan, most popularly known for his role in ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’, has now opened up about how he met his ladylove Lekha Washington. They started dating each other during the Covid lockdown, and Imran recently shared that they were part of the same social circle. He said that her then-partner was an old school friend of his. Lekha was previously in a relationship with journalist Pablo Chatterji, the son of famous theatre performer Dhritiman Chatterjee.
While speaking with Sakshi Shivdasani and Naina Bhan on their podcast Moments of Silence, Imran Khan was asked how he met his girlfriend Lekha Washington. He replied, “We were all in a group of friends. Her then-partner actually was an old, old school friend of mine. So we were all kind of within the same group of friends.” While speaking about living with his ladylove, Imran shared that while he is a minimalist and owns very few objects, Lekha likes to keep things she finds amazing. “For the initial couple years of our relationship, she was still in her place and I was in mine. This past year, as we’ve moved into the same space, has been about finding that balance of me saying we have too many things, and she’s like ‘but I found this amazing thing’.”
Before this relationship, Khan was married to Avantika Malik, with their marriage ending in divorce in 2019. They are parents to 10-year-old daughter Imara.
Earlier, in an interview with Vogue India, Imran Khan said, “The speculation that I’m romantically involved with Lekha Washington is true. I’m divorced and have been separated since February 2019. There’s this narrative of Lekha being a homewrecker, which infuriates me because not only is it misogynistic, but it also takes away my agency as an individual.” He shared that he and Lekha grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after he had been separated from Avantika, and a year after Lekha had separated from her partner.
