Himesh Reshammiya recently launched his wife Sonia Kapoor’s podcast, The Sonia Kapoor Show, where they had a lighthearted chat. While discussing his career and his new film, Badass Ravikumar, Sonia teased Himesh about his habit of admiring himself in the mirror for hours.
Sonia joked, “What is your favourite thing about yourself? Apart from the fact that you like looking at yourself for four hours in the bathroom.” Himesh, surprised, replied, “What are you saying? Tumhe apne show ki TRP leni hai toh tum mere naam pe le rahi ho (You want TRP for your show, so you are taking it in my name).” Sonia defended herself and said, “I am talking facts. You are like this. If you want to take a 9 am flight, you get up at 3 am to get ready. Who does that?”
Himesh said that he likes to take his time getting ready and doesn’t want to feel rushed. Sonia replied, “Yeah, so that you can look at yourself in the mirror for two hours.” Himesh then went on to ask Sonia, “What are you talking about?” Sonia said, “I am sorry, main pol khol rahi hoon tumhari (I am sorry, I am exposing you).”
Himesh Reshammiya married Sonia Kapoor in 2018. Their wedding came after Himesh’s divorce from his first wife, Komal. Himesh, known for his hit songs like “Aashiq Banaya Aapne” and “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,” has had a successful music career, with many chart-topping hits.
On the work front, Himesh’s recently released Badass Ravi Kumar minted Rs 8.3 crore in India, 10 days after its release on February 7, as per sacnilk.com. Directed by Keith Gomes, the film is a spin-off to the 2014 drama film The Xpose and also features celebs such as Prabhudeva, Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Mohan Joshi, Raza Murad and others. The film faced a box office clash with Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s romantic drama Loveyapa.
