BigHit Entertainment, one of the leading music labels in the South Korean industry, has been known for managing BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT), raising them to global fame. While BTS’s humble beginnings to stardom are nothing short of an inspiration, TXT is also widely recognised for their dedication to hard work, often garnering praise from fans and critics. Besides the boys’ continuously pushing their creative boundaries to commit to high-quality content, HYBE founder and chairman Bang Si-Hyuk has equally contributed to TXT’s glorious future.

Si-Hyuk recently opened up about the preparations that a trainee undergoes at BigHit Music. Mentioning that it costs about 120 million KRW ($96,900) to train a single trainee for a year, the chairman admitted to providing it himself and explained that it is the average cost for any company. The expenses can also increase if the company decides to offer other experiences like overseas training. They are provided with dorms, with the company paying for their lodging and food. Coming to TXT, the members who have trained for a combined 14.5 years (Beomgyu 2, Huening Kai 2.5, Taehyun 3, Soobin 3, and Yeonjun 4) have had 1.74 billion KRW spent, as per Koreaboo.

On top of it, BigHit, along with other music giants like SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment, doesn’t ask trainees to pay back the expenses following their debut; instead, they make opportunities for the artists to earn money after promotion.

TXT’s Journey

Since their debut in 2019 with Crown, Tomorrow X Together, aka TXT, has emerged as one of the most recognised groups to come out of South Korea’s music scene. From delivering chart-hitting releases to record-setting firsts, TXT continues to carve a niche for itself in the industry and globally. The five-member boy group consisting of Yeonjun, Soobin, Taehyun, Beomgyu and Heuningkai was formed under BigHit Music, a subsidiary of HYBE Corporation.

Some of the group’s best songs include OX1=LOVESONG, Sugar Rush Ride, Tinnitus, Do it Like That, Back For More, Deja Vu, Chasing That Feeling, Miracle and more. In the latest move, TXT is gearing up for its 2025 world tour, ACT: Promise – EP 2, set to be held across South Korea, the UK and several countries across Europe.

The tour will kick off after the members return from a “long-term break” with family.
