Comedian Harsh Gujral is set to make his Bollywood debut with Mere Husband Ki Biwi alongside Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar. In the comedy-drama, he will be seen playing the role of Arjun Kapoor’s friend. While much cannot be said about his acting, trailers and the songs give a sneak peek into his playful camaraderie with Arjun Kapoor. Ahead of the film’s release on February 21, the popular comedy star dropped a picture with Arjun Kapoor on his social media.
The candid shot captured the moment when Harsh was going to say something to Arjun. Sharing the picture, Harsh wrote, “Caption this favourite picture with brother Arjun Kapoor. 21st Feb ko dono bhai sath dikhenge on the big screen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi. Advance booking open.”
The post soon caught the attention of celebrities and fans. Arjun Kapoor reacted to the picture and wrote “Kalesh”, while Bhumi Pednekar said, “Aashiqui”. Comedian Rahul Dua also commented on the picture. On the other hand, fans dropped love for the artist. One of them mentioned, “Wah Sher”, and another said, “Twins”.
Recently, during the press conference of Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Rakul Preet Singh appreciated Harsh’s hard work and dedication in the film. Sharing an anecdote, she said that there was a particular hook step that was slightly complicated. When Harsh saw the other actors dancing, he recorded a video and practiced it for hours alone. A day later, he had learned it and thus it was decided that he would also be a part of the music video.
The actress said, “I have not seen such dedication in a long time. This is what happens you have when you have a never-say-never attitude.”
Meanwhile, Harsh Gujral confirmed that Arjun Kapoor is currently single in the same interview. While answering a question on the themes of the film, Harsh Gujral said, “Mere liye ye sach hai ki mere real life mein abhi ek bhi nahi, main single chal raha hu. Aur Arjun bhai bhi real life mein single chal rahein hai. Toh hum log ye film ke liye kar rahe hain.” (The truth is that both me and Arjun Kapoor are single at the moment. So, we are doing this for the film.)
