Game Changer, the Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer political action thriller had an impressive opening at the box office. Released on January 10, the film minted Rs 51 crore across all languages in India. But, it saw a gradual decline in the numbers from Day 2. As per the latest report by Sacnilk, it only managed to collect Rs 75 lakh on its second Thursday, taking the total collection to Rs 128.85 crore.
Although the film is inching closer to the Rs 130 crore mark, it still seems difficult to achieve the goal as Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s patriotic action thriller Sky Force was released today, January 24.
Game Changer, earlier, faced competition from Sonu Sood’s action thriller Fateh, which was also released on January 10. A week later, Ajay Devgn’s Azaad, and Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency opened to theatres.
Adding to the woes, the Ram Charan starrer fell victim to piracy on its release day. An HD print was leaked online, revealing the key points on the first day itself. Game Changer producer Dil Raju complained to cyber police, alleging extortion attempts by the pirates before the leak.
Helmed by Shankar, Game Changer also stars Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra in significant roles.
In the film, Ram Charan is seen playing a dual role: a tough bureaucrat and a noble individual who works for societal betterment, while Kiara plays his love interest.
The 39-year-old actor, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti 2025, on Instagram and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the fans for showering love to Game Changer and director Shankar for making him a part of the film.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan will be next seen in director Buchi Babu Sana’s next anticipated project opposite actress Janhvi Kapoor. Tentatively titled RC16, the film will be going on floors soon. However, an official release date of the film is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
