
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the Education department officials to speed up the process for construction of Young India Residential Schools one each in all the Assembly constituencies across the State.
The district collectors should conduct field visits to identify suitable locations for setting up the residential schools in every constituency. The Chief Minister directed the collectors to complete the identification process and submit a report within a week.

In constituencies where locations are already identified, the district collectors should expedite works like acquiring the land and according permissions for the construction of schools. The officials should scout for alternate lands if the identified locations are found not suitable for the construction of the schools.
Action plan for completing works in 100 constituencies
Mr. Revanth Reddy held a meeting with the Education department officials to review the progress of the ongoing works, in Hyderabad on Friday (February 14, 2025). He enquired about the land acquisition and other issues pertaining to the residential schools with senior officials and wanted them to prepare action plans for completing the works in 100 constituencies in a time bound manner.
Residential schools in 105 constituencies in 2 years
The Chief Minister wanted the officials to take up construction and infrastructure development works in the identified locations on a war footing. The Government was committed to complete construction of the residential schools in all respects in 105 Assembly constituencies within two years and the officials should accordingly gear themselves up for the task.
Referring to the Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University, Mr.Reddy wanted basic amenities in the university should be in tune with the emerging requirements. Infrastructure like academic block, play ground and others should be developed keeping future needs in view. The Government was committed to provide the required financial support to the university for taking up necessary works.
