An engineering student was found dead in a well at Sadayampatti near Kulithalai on Saturday.
The victim was identified as S. Arun, 21, a final year student of a private engineering college in Thottiyam. He was found dead in the well near his house with his legs were tied.
On information, the Kulithalai police rushed to the spot and conducted enquiries. The Fire and Rescue Services personnel lifted the body from the well. It was subsequently sent to the Government Hospital in Kulithalai for postmortem. The Kulithalai police have registered a case and are investigating.
