Elvish Yadav reacts to his ‘racist’ comments on Bigg Boss 18’s Chum Darang.
YouTuber Elvish Yadav recently hit the headlines for his shocking comments on Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. He was talking to Rajat Dalal on his podcast, when he mocked Chum and made ‘racist’ comments. A video clip of his comments went viral on social media, and he faced massive backlash for his remarks. Now, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner has addressed the social media outrage over his comments, admitting that he deleted that part from his podcast.
In his latest vlog, Elvish Yadav said that he checked social media and people are accusing him of making ‘racist remarks’. “Toh maine kholke dekha maine kahi kya racist remarks pass kare hain? Maine Chum ke upar kuch bol rakha tha. Waise maine kaha maine bola ya nahi, hatao, mujhe negativity chahiye hi nahi. Agar maan lo kisiko kharab lag raha hai mere bolne se, toh bhai, wo part maine remove kar diya. (So, I opened it up to see if I had said any racist remarks. I had said something about Chum. I don’t care whether I said it or not, I removed it. I don’t want any negativity. If anyone felt bad because of what I said, then brother, I have removed that part).”
Further, he added, “Second thing, kitne bewakoof log hain jinko ye samajh mein nahi aa raha. Wo log bol raha hain Elvish ne Covid bol diya, so Elvish is relating Chinese with Chum. Usmein maine bola tha, Karan Veer ko shayad Covid ho rakha tha jo uski taste, smell chali gayi, jo usko Chum pasand aa gayi. (Secondly, there are so many foolish people who don’t understand this. They are saying that Elvish mentioned Covid, so he is relating Chum to the Chinese. What I said was that Karan Veer had Covid, which is why he might have lost his taste and smell, and that’s why he liked Chum).”
He further urged people to watch the video carefully. “Main itna gaya guzra nahi hu ki kisi ko bolu ki tu ye hai, wo hai. Main in cheezon se bachta hu. Na mujhe kisise lena dena ki main kisi pe racist comment pass karu. (I am not so low that I would tell someone what they are or what they aren’t. I stay away from such things. I have no interest in making racist comments about anyone).” Instead, he said that he tells people also to refrain from doing such things. He admitted, “Baaki genuine jo cheez mere se kharaab hui, wo cheez galat hai.” However, he added that he is not apologetic for the additional things that people made up themselves.
What Did Elvish Yadav Say About Chum Darang?
Speaking with Rajat Dalal on the podcast, Elvish Yadav said, “Karanveer ko pakka COVID tha kyunki Chum kisko pasand aati hai bhai, itna taste kiska kharab hota hai! Aur Chum ke toh naam mein hi ashleelta hai… Naam Chum aur kaam Gangubai Kathiawadi mein kiya hai.”
