Dry grass and waste across a wide expanse along Alexander Parambithara bridge on Willingdon Island allegedly caught fire around 1.30 p.m. on Thursday (February 27, 2025). Fire and Rescue Services personnel reportedly took around four hours to douse it completely. According to sources, a 5-km stretch was affected.
