In a shocking incident, a man tore up a theatre screen in Gujarat’s Bharuch during the screening of Vicky Kaushal’s latest film, Chhaava. Reportedly, the incident took place on Sunday night at RK Cinemas during the 11:45 pm show. It is said that a drunk man approached the screen and started tearing it. Not just this, he also used a fire extinguisher and made a large rip through the screen.

The man, identified as Jayesh Vasava, was immediately stopped by the security staff and was later detained by police. It is said that the man was disturbed by a scene in the movie where Vicky Kaushal, playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was being attacked. A video of the incident has also surfaced on social media. Watch it here:

In less than a week, Chhaava has earned Rs 140 crore at the Indian box office. While Chhaava is currently in theatres, if a report by OTTplay is to be believed, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix after completing its time in cinemas. However, unlike many recent releases where streaming partnerships are announced in advance, the makers of Chhaava have kept details under wraps. Typically, films land on streaming platforms 45–60 days post-release, but an official update from the team is still awaited.
