Drake fans will have to wait a little longer, as the rapper has postponed four of his 16 sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand due to a scheduling conflict. His representatives confirmed the news, stating that updates on rescheduled dates will be provided soon. The affected concerts are part of his Anita Max Win Tour, which began in Perth on February 4.

While Drake has already performed in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, two upcoming shows in Brisbane and Sydney, as well as two in Auckland, have now been put on hold.

“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows. All tickets for the affected concerts will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale,” his representative stated, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

The tour organisers also reassured fans, saying, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time performing and are excited to return soon.”

As soon as the announcement was made, fans started speculating about the reason behind the postponement. One user on X (formerly Twitter) suggested, “Bare minimum? Dropping an album in the middle of this hate train and court drama… going on tour in Australia, then says he’s dropping another solo rap album soon.” Another defended the rapper, writing, “Sorry, but one thing you can’t call Drake is lazy… But hey, the music video should have been ready.”

With the tour on the plate, Drake has also been touring his latest album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, created in collaboration with fellow Canadian artist PartyNextDoor. The album came out on Valentine’s Day, debuting at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

On the other hand, Drake continues to make headlines over his unresolved feud with Kendrick Lamar alongside a legal battle with Universal Music Group.
