Mohan G Kshatriyan has slammed the makers of upcoming film Bad Girl for negative portrayal of Brahmins.

Mohan G has bashed Anurag Kashyap for negative stereotyping of Brahmins in Bad Girl.

The upcoming film, Bad Girl, revolves around the life of a school-going Brahmin teenager who is struggling with societal expectations as well as her own desires. In the teaser, we see her trying her best to find a boyfriend while she faces criticism for her choices. It all turns into hell when she starts dating a boy and is shamed for it. The teaser ends with the mother and daughter talking about a dating app.

The teaser of the film released today, January 27, 2024, but filmmaker Mohan G Kshatriyan is not happy with it. He claims that the film is portraying Brahmins in a bad light. The Tamil film is written and directed by Varsha Bharath and is presented by Vetri Maaran and Anurag Kashyap. It stars Anjali Sivaraman in the lead role.

The teaser also shows how she becomes independent and free, the way she wanted to be, once she left her home.

Reacting to the teaser, Mohan G Kshatriyan wrote on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, “Portraying a brahmin girl personal life is always a bold and refreshing film for this clan. What more can be expected from Vetrimaran, Anurag Kasyap & Co.. Bashing Brahmin father and mother is old and not trendy.. Try with your own caste girls and showcase it to your own family first.”

As of now, the makers have not reacted to Mohan G Kshatriyan’s comments.
