Dipika Kakar, best known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, has announced her early exit from Celebrity MasterChef India due to health issues. The actress, who recently returned to television with the cooking reality show, shared that she began experiencing intense pain in her left shoulder. Although medication initially helped her manage the discomfort, the pain returned once the treatment ended. Hence, she was forced to step away from the competition.
Taking to her YouTube channel, Dipika Kakar told her fans that she had been diagnosed with lymph nodes. As a result, she decided to quit the show so that she could focus on her health. “Last week when the contestants were celebrating festivals, I started getting pain in my shoulder. Since the time I reached the sets, I started getting shoulder pain and the production people took me to the hospital,” she added.
Dipika Kakar shared that her final episode on Celebrity MasterChef India was the one featuring Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal. Despite battling pain, she pushed through and completed the shoot. However, when the discomfort became too much to bear, she made the difficult decision to step away from the show.
Dipika Kakar also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the show’s makers and judges—Chef Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Farah Khan—for their support during her time on Celebrity MasterChef India. She appreciated their understanding as she made the tough decision to step away for her health.
Dipika Kakar wrapped up her announcement on a heartfelt note, sharing that Celebrity MasterChef India will always be special to her as it marked her much-awaited comeback to television. While stepping away was tough, she reassured fans that this isn’t goodbye—she’ll be back soon with an exciting new daily soap!
As per reports, Dipika was paid Rs 2.3 lakh per week for Celebrity MasterChef India.
