Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have been rumoured to be dating ever since they shared screen space in the 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam and the 2019 romantic drama Dear Comrade. Over the years, speculation has only grown stronger as Rashmika has frequently shared glimpses from Vijay’s home and been spotted spending time with his family. Their social media posts have also hinted at shared vacations, further fuelling relationship rumours.
Now, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rashmika seemingly confirmed her relationship status while discussing her idea of a “happy place.” She said, “Home is my happy place. It makes me feel anchored. Makes me feel rooted. Makes me feel like success can come and go, but it’s not a forever. But home is a forever. So I work from that space. As much as the love and this fame and the visibility that I get, I still am, just a daughter, just a sister, just a partner. I really respect that life, that personal life that I have.”
This mention of being “a partner” to someone has left fans speculating if Rashmika has finally admitted to her relationship with Vijay. The actress also shared what attracts her to a man, saying, “They say eyes are the window to one’s soul, I think I believe in that and I keep smiling so I am drawn to people who have a smiley face and of course someone who respects people around them no matter who they are.”
Interestingly, Vijay, in a recent interview with Curly Tales while promoting his music video Sahiba, offered his thoughts on love and relationships. When asked if unconditional love exists, he said, “I know what it is to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know if it’s unconditional because my love comes with expectations.”
Adding fuel to speculation, Vijay admitted during a game of Never Have I Ever that he has dated a co-star before and revealed, “I’m 35, you think I would be single?” Fans believe these statements point to his rumoured romance with Rashmika.
