Dhanashree Verma took to her Instagram handle on Wednesday evening to share her first post ever since her family dismissed Rs 60 crore alimony claims. Dhanashree shared a series of pictures of herself and sought blessings from Lord Shiva on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

This comes days after several reports claimed that the choreographer was seeking Rs 60 crore in alimony from the cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal amid their divorce. However, Dhanashree’s family recently rejected the claims. On Friday, a member of the Verma family issued a statement and called alimony reports “baseless”. The family member expressed disappointment with the viral claims and urged everyone not to spread “baseless” information. The member clarified that Dhanashree Verma never asked for any alimony from Chahal.
“We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy,” the statement read.
