This heartfelt post comes amid her ongoing divorce with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, adding a layer of personal reflection to her current journey.
In her Instagram story, Dhanashree posted a touching image holding her grandmother’s hand, accompanied by a deeply sentimental message. She wrote, “It’s been a year… I miss you so much, Nani. Thank you for protecting me and for giving me the strength to live my life gracefully despite all the odds around us. Your teachings have really helped me today — to always remain dignified, strong, and kind. I love you.” The background music she chose for the post was A.R. Rahman’s soulful song “Unthan Desathin Kural,” enhancing the emotional tone of her message.

However, speculation about their relationship troubles began when both unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling rumors of a split.
Speculations about their separation have been swirling for months. A few months back, Chahal and Verma unfollowed each other on Instagram, with the cricketer also deleting all pictures with her. The rumours intensified after Dhanashree removed ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram name, a day after Yuzvendra posted a cryptic story saying, “New life loading.”
The couple had previously addressed the speculation. In January, Chahal urged people not to indulge in baseless rumours, stating, “As a son, a brother, and a friend, I humbly request everyone not to speculate, as it has caused immense pain to me and my family.” Dhanashree had also responded to the online chatter, writing, “My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values.”
Reports confirmed that the couple officially filed for divorce, citing compatibility issues as the primary reason. Sources close to the duo revealed that despite efforts to reconcile, they decided to part ways amicably. The final hearing reportedly took place in February 2024 at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. According to ABP News, both Chahal and Dhanashree were present for the hearing from 11:00 AM onwards. The court directed them to attend a counselling session, which lasted for around 45 minutes, where they reaffirmed their decision to separate through mutual consent.
