Victims of the CSR fund scam took out a protest march to the District Police Chief’s Office on Monday, demanding action against the accused and promoters.
The demonstrators, under the banner ‘Kannur Seed Woman on Fire’, accused the police of shielding those responsible and called for immediate registration of more cases.
The march, which started from Stadium Corner in the morning, was stopped by the police near the District Police Chief’s office. The protesters staged a dharna, which was inaugurated by T. Premaja who is a victim of the scam.
“Members of all political parties are accused in the scam. That is why we chose not to invite political leaders to the agitation,” she said.
