Sohum Shah-starrer Crazxy is proving to be a box office dud. Directed by Girish Kohli, the film stars Shah as Dr Abhimanyu Sood, a surgeon who does anything and everything to save his daughter from kidnapping. It opened to very low numbers, however, gained a bit of traction on Day 2, February 28.
On Day 2, Crazxy witnessed a slight rise in its net business. It is expected to pick momentum on Day 3 which is a Sunday. Crazxy marks Sohum Shah’s theatrical comeback as an actor after seven years. It also clashed at the box office with Superboys of Malegaon.
Crazxy had pened at Rs 1 crore on Friday. According to trade experts, the thriller should earn in the range of Rs 3.50 crore to Rs 4.50 crore in its opening weekend. It was released on around 1250 screens across India.
Crazxy is a thriller film written and directed by Girish Kohli and produced under the banner of Sohum Shah Films. Sohum Shah is one of the producers along with Mukesh Shah, Amita Shah and Adesh Prasad. The film is co-produced by Ankit Jain. It released in theatres on February 28, 2025. Others who play pivotal roles in the movie are Tinnu Anand, Nimisha Sajayan and Shilpa Shukla.
The songs of Crazxy are composed by Vishal Bhardwaj while the lyrics are written by Gulzar. Laxmikant–Pyarelal, Anand Bakshi, Jesper Kyd, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, Osho Jain have also contributed to composing music alongside Vishal.
Written and directed by Girish Kohli, Crazxy follows Abhimanyu Sood (Sohum Shah), a successful surgeon who suddenly finds himself in a nightmarish situation—his daughter has been kidnapped, and he has to arrange Rs 5 crore to secure her release.
